DESCRIPTION:Our Executive Director\, Diane Dodge\, had the privilege of visiting the FIGS company on September 14. During a staff meeting attended by over 200 dedicated FIGS employees (both in person and online)\, Diane expressed our profound gratitude for FIGS’ support together with Dan Ogola\, Matibabu’s CEO. \nFIGS’ contributions have been instrumental in our endeavors. They have not only played a crucial role in funding medical camps and our brand new operating room\, but have also generously provided 25\,000 pairs of scrubs. These scrubs have been a driving force behind our cervical cancer awareness campaign\, reaching an astonishing one million women. \nThe impact of our collaboration with FIGS goes beyond words. It’s a testament to the power of partnerships and the positive change that can be achieved when organizations come together for a common cause.

SUMMARY:Matibabu College Graduation
DESCRIPTION:On September 8th\, we celebrated an important milestone at the Matibabu College of Health Sciences as we witnessed 40 bright individuals take a significant step in their healthcare careers. Among the graduates were 18 nurses and 22 perioperative theatre technicians\, all equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in healthcare. \nWhat’s particularly exciting is that a significant number of these graduates are beneficiaries of your generous scholarship program. Through your support\, 17 students received scholarships that provided them with $1\,000 per year for their 2 to 3-year programs. This support covered tuition\, books\, uniforms\, and lodging\, allowing these students to focus on their studies and excel academically.
